On Palm Sunday we enter Holy Week and ask Jesus to allow us a share in his suffering, death, and Resurrection.  We remember and relive the events which brought about our redemption and salvation.  The liturgies of Holy Week and the Sacred Paschal Triduum enable us to experience vicariously what Jesus went through.  During these days, we commemorate and relive our own dying to sin and rising in Jesus.

Just as Jesus did, we, too, must lay down our lives freely.  One of the ways in which we can do so is by actively participating in the liturgies of Holy Week and the Sacred Paschal Triduum.  We allow Jesus to forgive us our sins, to heal the wounds caused by our sinfulness, and to transform us more completely into the image and likeness of God.
